Michaelyn and Brad met their first year in college while he was on a “date” with one of her friends at the University Diner. After Michaelyn said hello and walked away, she texted her friend, “If he’s not yours, PLEASE let him be mine”.
Michaelyn and Brad dated for 6 years! In this time, they both finished school, and she was in her graduate program. They both knew they were each other’s soulmates – “we knew we wanted to get married back in our sophomore year!”. However Michaelyn had one request – they needed to wait until she was finished with school to get engaged, which only made school seem to last forever.
“The day after I finished my final internship (the day before graduation), there he was…on one knee. He said he waited like I’d asked, and there was no way he’d wait another day. The engagement was beautiful. In our favorite date night town (where we now bought a home), with our favorite people, on a snowy December night. I love that man – it was more than I could have dreamt for.”
