Sam and Colton first met their sophomore year of high school when they were paired up on a history project. It wasn’t until their senior year they started dating, when their friends set them up for Homecoming, and they realized that they had the same sense of humor and love for dessert and the outdoors. They ended up dating for 7 years, 4 of which were long distance during college, after which Colton proposed while they were on a weekend holiday in Quebec City. It was 8 degrees Fahrenheit, and after a day of exploring the city and eating good food, Colton led Sam up a treacherous snow-covered hill to a beautiful viewpoint, where he got down on one knee and popped the question!
They decided the perfect location for their wedding would be back in the Pacific Northwest, where they are both from and where their love began. They got married at a winery in the Cascade Mountains surrounded by family and friends on May 11, 2019. The bride was in our Devon Gown, paired up with the same tennis bracelet that her mom wore at her wedding, and a lucky penny in her shoe from the groom’s mom that has been passed down for 4 generations! Their brothers officiated their wedding and they were surrounded by the people they love most.
Congratulations to the husband and wife! See more from their beautiful wedding at the winery below.
