Healy + Steve and fell in love with each other in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Clemson University and it was important that their wedding was connected to nature. Mission accomplished! The beautiful mountains surrounding King Family Vineyards and the florals and greenery and wood used throughout the reception space gave their wedding a natural rustic vibe.
We loved all the beautiful little details including decor collected from antique stores and the wood flower boxes that sat on all of the tables as the centerpieces during reception all handmade by the groom Steve.
And then their was her dress! Healy chose our Lilia gown, a beaded cap sleeve v-neck gown that fit her like a glove. When I spoke with her about the dress search she shared this with me....
Why did you choose that dress??
Even though my mom and I watched Say Yes to the Dress together for years, I honestly had NO idea what kind of wedding dress I wanted. We went dress shopping when she came to visit and I really didn't think that I would find my dress that day. I tried on a bunch of dresses that were all beautiful in their own right, I just didn't feel like myself in them. When I put on the Theia gown I immediately did a little shimmy and definitely felt like I was wearing the dress instead of the dress wearing me. The silhouette was more classic, but the full beading was an unexpected twist and like nothing I had seen before making it the perfect combination.
I loved all of the beading detail, especially how it turned into flowers towards the bottom...my middle name is Rose! The dress absolutely fit like a glove and was a very flattering silhouette. It was the perfect dress to dance the night away on the dance floor because I didn't have to worry about anything slipping and it was SO comfortable.
